Postpartum Support Virginia (PSVa), the Commonwealth’s resource for parents, professionals, and communities addressing Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders (PMADs)is seeking volunteer leaders to join its dynamic board of directors. More information on Postpartum Support Virginia is available at www.postpartumva.org

Board members are actively involved in organizational governance. Board members:

  1. Are committed to the mission and vision of the organization and are residents of or have a vested interest in Virginia.
  2. Attend monthly virtual meetings and one in-person, day-long retreat annually.
  3. Participate in at least one board committee.
  4. Support the organization’s fundraising initiatives.

There is no donation requirement, although all board members are encouraged to give as they are able. 

The board is seeking candidates with a variety of skills, with a strong emphasis on candidates with accounting, fundraising, legal, and media expertise, as well as those connected to maternal health and mental health. The board is also recruiting members previously served by the organization, regardless of professional background.
